Discover U 2024 set out to give Oregon Football players a clear understanding of the skills they need to secure their first jobs. Highly inspirational speakers started the day, which lead into a number of valuable workshops.

JOEL KLATT, FOX Sports college football analyst, grabbed everyone’s attention with the tale of his own reality check. After success as QB at Colorado, he was cut from both MLB and the NFL, before building his career in TV sports.
Industry Focused Breakout Rooms
The players rotated through three of 10 breakout rooms, each focused on a different industry ranging from real estate and law enforcement to sports business, healthcare and entrepreneurship. Close to 40 volunteers – many members of The Network – shared insights on their careers.

Oregon football and NFL veteran George Wrighster, with Aydin Breland, shared insights on working in sports media.
