Derek Stoops is the co-founder of Clovis Entertainment, a drama production company under The Asylum Entertainment Group, developing scripted series with partners like Miramax, Viacom, and Roadshow Rough Diamond. He’s shaping the future of TV by creating bold, globally recognized content. Derek’s path started in live TV, working on American Idol, The Academy Awards, and The David Spade Show. He later helped launch the interactive TV startup Airplay Network in Silicon Valley. In 2009, he joined Sony Pictures Television, where he spent over a decade leading production for networks like AXN, Canal Sony, and Crackle—delivering over 500 hours of programming worldwide. His credits include Absentia, Hannibal, Crossing Lines, The Firm, and Amazing Race Asia.
